About Nicholas
Nicholas Desisto is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Addiction from Montclair State University. His passion and specialty is helping young adults progress successfully into full adulthood and manage school, work, and life while decreasing feelings of anxiety, depression, anger, interpersonal issues, or even elements of substance abuse. He believes we need to reduce the time we prepare for life and find more moments to enjoy it. His approach to treatment emphasizes cognitive therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and specialized addiction therapy to support recovery and lasting change for those who need it.
